Faire Maiden - Not Kink Related

My humble abode for Faire

So it is almost here!!
The awesomeness that is the Florida Renaissance Festival.

My tent is pitched, i still need to go out and get heavier duty tent stakes because the ones that came with the tent are wimpy little things.  Granted once everything is IN the tent it'll be harder to blow away; but i'm still going to go out and get a few anyways.  I need to find more D cell batteries because even though i have some for my lantern (the ones for my air mattress pump are going to be put in there), i still need spares and lord knows what else I may need to use them for.

Thankfully the garb that i do have is versatile and i can do things and switch things up from time to time, as well as layer things.  That will be the toughest thing to sort through while in my tent. But i know that i'll get it properly packed Thursday before I toss everything that i need to put in that in there, even my monster skirt will be MADE to fit in there dammit!

Most of my stuff for Faire

My supplies are pretty organized, i have to treat my Minnetokas tonight to make sure that they are properly sealed and ready for tromping around through the grass, dirt, dust, rocks and mud (if it rains). I had to order a second chemise (on sale for 16 bucks at etsy.com, cant beat it really) because i only have the fancy frilly one and that gets hot enough as it is without the extra layer of a corset!  I'll probably have my sister help me make a second chemise and possibly a "light" circle skirt or two just to add a little bit more variety into my wardrobe.  I also have a pair of black gaucho pants that i can wear when i don't feel like wearing my pantaloons. I have about 3-4 different variations of garb with one set of clothes alone.  Granted the blue Irish Dress is a bit harder to work with though I do/have had a few ideas, especially if i end up making a plain black circle skirt and a second chemise.  Similarly i can use my "fancy" chemise with the blue irish dress and black skirt and have the irish dress over top and have it look really cute.

I love having sparks of creative genius!

Granted the walk to Joust will be a pain but will still be fun methinks.

I still need to get a few supplies, as well as finding some travel sized stuff to brush teeth and what not.

  1. Target, Walgreens, etc have great travel-size-stuff sections. Heck, I have a surplus- what do you need?

Also, do you have need of a propane stove? I have one I could lend for the faire- it's new in the box. I bought it three hurricane seasons ago and have never had a reason to actually use the thing.
