What Is Pack?
Cross posted to various sites/profiles
When I think of "pack", I think of the wolves that roam the forests and plains of this world, a tight knit family unit, rarely bringing in outsiders. Transient yet constant, looking out for each other and caring for their own.
There are those who have wolves connected to the core of their being, spirit guides and protectors, helping us down our Paths. Some don't even realize it, others fight them, while the opposite are aware and embrace the wolf and walk side by side with it.
Humans make their own Pack, finding those that hold a resonate wolf, someone that is a close friend and confidant. A Brother or a Sister, or even a Mate. I know of a few people who hold wolves who are part of a Pack, a few are my friends, some closer than others.
You may be wondering how one would know if you hold an animal spirit, or how some people can sense it. It all depends on the person and how in tuned with the spiritual realm people are. Some I have been able to sense easily, others are more dormant and/or lazy and can only be felt when strongly called upon.
My pack as it were, is pretty much non existent for the most part as the one person who is pack to me, and has been for years is my best friend C, and he lives all the way in BFE New York State. ~grumbles~
I hope to find a pack that can be a support system for the life I lead now, not the life I used to lead. Rose walks besides me and watches out for me; but more wolves will help me feel at home, even if my Path deviates sometimes. I want to be able to run on the beach with my pack, under Lady Luna's bright power, the waves the only music to our ears. Playing and wrestling in the sand and waves, and just laying in a group looking up at the moon and stars. I want to find a pack that will support me and have my back, no matter what, even if they don't agree with something fully. And for them I will do the same thing, because that is what pack does, its what FAMILY does... be it blood or chosen family.
Eventually I'll find it i know, for now i'll keep searching and see what happens.
